1. Bellara & Lighthouse Mages

• Neve Gallus/Bellara Lutare: These two are SO CUTE together. I love how Neve gently tries to deflect Bellara’s hero worship and gains a ton of respect for Bellara in the process. I want to see them planning out books together, solving cases together, investigating weird stuff together. Or, y’know, just some good old Lighthouse fluff.
• Bellara Lutare/Emmrich Volkarin: Bellara has a thing for older mages, doesn’t she? Give me these two just nerding out over ancient/esoteric/weird magic and falling in love at the same time. Bellara enlists Manfred’s help for experiments. Emmrich asks Bellara for her help with some of the Necropolis’ more finicky artifacts.
• Neve Gallus/Bellara Lutare/Emmrich Volkarin: What’s better than two mages falling in love? THREE mages falling in love! I’m fine with either a V where Bellara is the hinge, or a true triad. Take aspects from my prompts above or just run with whatever strikes your fancy.
• Bellara Lutare/Solas: What if other members of the Veilguard could talk to Solas besides just Rook? It’s clear that Bellara doesn’t revere him as a god, but he’s still someone that could answer so many questions about her people. For Solas’ part, he’s captivated by her quick mind and her ingenious ways of looking at things. They shouldn’t, oh, they really shouldn’t. (They do.)

2. Bellara & Other Awesome People

 

• Bellara Lutare/Merrill: This is one of those relationships where their friends are concerned that they get along *too* well; they have a tendency to vanish into Arlathan without any notice to follow whatever ancient lead struck their fancy. Varric introduced them and was not prepared for what followed.
• Bellara Lutare/Myrna: I imagine that Bellara had a million questions for Myrna about the history and magic of the Necropolis, and Myrna was amused and happy to answer … and then they spent enough time together to fall for each other.
• Davrin/Bellara Lutare: Hey, it’s two elves who don’t hate each other in the same party! They’re both Dalish, but they both have exposure to the greater world through being a Warden/a Veil Jumper. Maybe Bellara and Davrin knew each other when they were kids (the clans visited each other??) and reconnected at the Lighthouse; maybe Bellara barges in to visit Assan enough that they start bonding.
• Assan’s Sibling & Bellara Lutare: Bellara nerds out over Assan enough that it made me go GIVE BELLARA HER OWN GRIFFIN. So. I’d imagine this works better in the quest resolution where the griffons go to Arlathan Forest, but I’m up for seeing what you make of the griffons going to the Wardens with this prompt. Bellara spends time with the other rescued griffons hoping that maybe she’ll wind up with one like Assan, and she gets the one that is almost his polar opposite, or something else unexpected - but of course, it works out anyway!

3. Sten - After Origins

• Shathann/Sten, Sten & Taash: My new favorite headcanon is that Sten is Taash’s father. Usually, the tamassrans pair people together for a reason, so why was Sten (a warrior) paired with Shathann (a scholar)? Or was their romance completely unsanctioned and Taash completely unplanned? How does Taash feel about her father being the deposed Arishok? How does Sten feel about having an adaari child? If you go this route, I’d love to see Shathann and Sten reunite before the end of Taash’s personal quest; if you want to make it a Shathann Lives AU, that’s great, otherwise I’m all for the angst of finding his old love only to lose her again.
• Female Qunari Laidir/Sten: You can use any other faction for Rook, but the Lords of Fortune background struck me as the most interesting. The deposed Arishok suddenly finds himself in need of LoF help, and Rook (either being raised outside of the Qun or having shifted allegiance away from the Qun) is not particularly impressed by him at first. They bicker, they clash, and then it resolves with them falling into bed together. Isabela thinks this is hilarious.
• Female Adaar/Sten: Arishok Sten shows up at Skyhold after Iron Bull’s loyalty quest (it can go either way). Adaar greets him cordially, but stiffly, because she is no fan of the Qun. She refuses to budge even an ounce on her convictions. It isn’t until Varric tells her about his time traveling with Sten and Alistair (see: the comics) that she unbends enough to give him a fair shake. Adaar eventually opens up to him and discovers they actually have a lot in common. Sten, meanwhile, is still struggling with the fact that, as the Arishok, he’s supposed to embody the principles of the antaam – but his experiences in Thedas mean that he’s far more tolerant of differing views than pretty much everyone else in the Qun. He’s been falling for Adaar the whole time he’s been at Skyhold, and it all comes together one night. What happens after that? Is it only while Sten is at Skyhold, or does it somehow continue?

4. Absolution

• Hira/Miriam: Such an angsty pair! Break my heart -- show me what it was like when Hira left Miriam; or have something during the series when Hira's still planning to betray everyone; or post-canon when Miriam chases down Hira. You can also give me the good times with them; before Hira leaves for the Inquisition, or maybe Hira changes her mind and they do get their happily ever after.
• Miriam/Qwydion: I love Qwydion with all my heart and Miriam is pretty amazing too. LET THEM BE HAPPY TOGETHER. Show me Miriam starting to get over Hira and realize what's in front of her; show me Qwydion getting super flustered when she realizes she's got a crush. Cuteness, battle couple, or some creative sexytimes -- I'd love any of that!
• Lacklon/Roland: I loved EVERY bit of these two, every moment of Roland shamelessly flirting and Lacklon acting all disgruntled while actually being won over. Just give me more. Give me their first real time together; give me sparring as foreplay.
• Lacklon/Miriam/Qwydion/Roland: The more the merrier! The four of them went through a lot and came out fire-forged companions. Combine the individual prompts with them figuring out how they all work together, or just jump straight to the four of them together. My only note here is that I don't see any sexual attraction between Miriam and Roland, they seem to be more platonic partners; but that's not a DNW and I'm genuinely up for whatever configuration you want to explore.

5. Taaaaaash!

• Qwydion/Taash: Two quirky qunari that deserve to get to know one another better! Since Lacklon is a Lord of Fortune, let’s assume that he brings Qwydion to the Rivain Coast at some point, and then … shenanigans.
• Rowan/Taash: I love how Rowan is supportive of Taash figuring out that they are nonbinary, calling Taash the gender-neutral “cousin”; and then helping Taash decode the tablet if Taash chooses to embrace their Rivaini side. Maybe some comfort after Shathann’s death.
• Lace Harding/Taash: I love how cute and giggly Harding gets during their romance; she really accepts Taash for who they are. Give me all the quality tall/smol dynamics, some this-could-be-our-last-night-together stuff before Tearstone Island, going out on adventures together, Shathann Disapproving (or maybe not?)
• Neve Gallus/Taash: Neve is so instrumental in helping Taash figure out the nonbinary thing, giving Taash names of people to talk to in Tevinter. Maybe that support leads to a good deal more intimacy than either of them expected.

6. The ‘Vints

• Neve Gallus/Rana Savus: Rana is in love with Neve, you can’t convince me otherwise. Everyone sees it except the great detective, and all of Neve’s friends try to steer her towards asking Rana out even though Neve is convinced Rana’s feelings are purely platonic.
• Female Elf Mercar/Lorelei: (Any gender or lineage is acceptable here) The Shadow Dragons’ fence is originally from the Denerim Alienage, sold into slavery by Loghain during Origins. Sooo she’s had an interesting life! Rook didn’t really know Lorelei that well before, but they start getting closer during the events of Veilguard. Either: Minrathous is saved, or Lorelei somehow escapes the Venatori, so they can keep getting to know one another.
• Zevran Arainai/Lorelei: I like the idea of Zevran just Fucking Shit Up in the north, after getting revenge on the Crows; maybe he comes looking to make some kind of deal with the Shadow Dragons and runs into Lorelei. He was there with the Warden during the Alienage and recognizes her story; they were both screwed over by Loghain.
• Neve Gallus/Elek Tavor: Elek is such a snake, I love him. He’s a good ally if not a good person. Would love to see some good “enemies to lovers” content here, even if it’s more like the enemy of my enemy (they both hate Venatori, after all). Neve doesn’t fall for his charm at first; he has to really open up to her before she does the same.

7. Assorted Veilguard Ships

• Female Elf Aldwir/Davrin: I’m fine with any faction here, but I would love it if you could use my Aldwir, Veryl. She’s also Dalish; sarcastic and a little bit overly cynical, but deeply cares for her friends. I would love some quality post-game content where Davrin is helping her and Eldrin take care of the griffons; some thank-the-Maker-you’re-alive sex after Rook is freed from Solas’ prison or after Tearstone Island. Or maybe just something from Davrin’s POV as he watches Rook wrangle with all the different factions, etc.
• NB Dwarf Thorne/Stalgard: Female is also fine; any faction is fine but I prefer Thorne for the darkspawn/taint connection! Stalgard is another great character that deserves more time in the spotlight. Find a way to bring him to the Lighthouse or just into the greater plot; let him show Rook around Kal-Sharok. Or maybe Rook is *from* Kal-Sharok and didn’t think they would ever go back? I’ve got a NB dwarf, Kalais, that I built as a de Riva but can be used as a Thorne here; they are doing their best to remain optimistic in the face of everything going on. They are a tanky warrior with a giant hammer.
• Zevran Arainai/Andarateia Cantori/Viago de Riva: We know Zevran went and fucked up the Crows after Origins, so Teia and Viago probably have their positions more or less as a direct result of Zevran. I imagine him continuing his crusade and when he passes back to make sure the Crows are behaving themselves, Teia and Viago are “on” and are very curious. (For Zevran’s motivations: they are both hot, high-ranking Crows; enough said.) Knifeplay as foreplay; lean into my NSFW likes as much as you want!
• Female Qunari Mercar/Emmrich Volkarin: I built her as an Ingellvar, but since that’s off limits, please make Kione whichever faction strikes your fancy. She is a transwoman who takes precisely zero shit and does her best to remain unfazed in the face of all the Weird Shit that’s happening. She loves that Emmrich is a romantic and brings out a more tender side of her and she definitely refers to Manfred as their son.

8. Nevarrans

• Audric Felhausen/Myrna, Audric Felhausen & Vorgoth: Audric is the guard from Tevinter Nights who died and then had a spirit of Curiosity possess his body, so that he basically just went back to work the day after he was murdered. He works with Myrna to figure out a case of premature possession, and learns who he is in the process, then takes a job in the library working under Myrna. I’d love to see that develop into something more than partnership/camaraderie. I’d also love to have Vorgoth step in as a kind of mentor (because we still don’t know what Vorgoth’s deal is) to help Curiosity/Audric make sense of what he is now.
• Johanna Hezenkoss/Emmrich Volkarin: You can’t tell me these two don’t have some kind of history. Past or present, I want to see them arguing about the finer points of necromancy and ethics before a makeout session, or as pillow talk after the fact. Show me Emmrich’s messy feelings about his ex who he may not have had a clean break with, during his personal storyline. Go nuts with creative use of magic here.
• Johanna Hezenkoss/Meredith Stannard: This has the potential to be amazing. I don’t know that I have any concrete ideas, just throwing two strong women who take no shit together and watching the sparks fly.

9. Evergreen Darlings - I know it’s primarily been Veilguard up to this point, but trust me, I will be THRILLED with any of these, I still love these ships/characters so much.

• Esmeral Abernache/Movran the Under: Movran the Under may be my favorite random side character because he throws a goat at Skyhold’s walls. How can you not love a guy who does that? Anyway, if the Templars are saved, you have the option to pair him with Esmeral Abernache and they develop a grudging mutual respect and basically play Good Cop/Bad Cop with Tevinter. Run with this. PLEASE. There are some gems from their respective missives back to the Inquisition that I would love to see you use as inspiration.
• Sten/Female Tabris: I am also open to Brosca and Mahariel here! All three of the Warden options come from extremely disadvantaged (in their own way) backgrounds and have seen the worst of what Ferelden has to offer. Maybe that makes the Qun attractive; maybe it makes them appreciate their position as a Warden all the more and not want to follow Sten when he leaves. How does the Warden break down Sten’s walls to reveal the softie underneath, and what does Sten think about this infuriating woman who breaks all his preconceived notions about the world? (Okay, I gave you a bit of a hint there, but I'm still open to other ideas!) I'm ok with either a bittersweet parting at the end of Origins (possibly with the Warden’s death, an exception to my usual no major deaths preference) or one of them making a sacrifice to stay with the other.
• Female Aeducan/Female Brosca/Female Cadash/Dagna/Lace Harding/Sigrun: LADY DWARF STACK. I don't care how you get them all in the same place at the same time but just make it happen. Smut? Fluff? Both?!
• Leliana/Josephine Montilyet/Cullen Rutherford: WAR. ROOM. SAMMICH. This is a perpetual OT3 for me so I'll be happy with anything, but have some vague ideas anyway:
  • Stress relief during the most fraught times of the Inquisition
  • Established Leliana/Josie convincing Cullen that they want him as a 3rd
  • Cullen feels torn between the two of them until they take matters into their own hands

10. More Evergreen Darlings

• Female Hawke/Isabela/Merrill: I see these three as being an organic poly relationship rather than a 2+1, if that makes sense. Hawke flirts with them both and refuses to choose, and they’re on board with that. It’d be great to see Merrill getting involved with the Qunari tangle at the end of Act 2 as well as Hawke.
• Fenris/Female Hawke/Isabela: Since Fenris and Isabela get together if Hawke romances neither, there’s obviously some chemistry between them. Is this a pair inviting in a third situation, or one where it becomes obvious that all three are attracted to each other? Similarly to F!Hawke/Isabela/Merrill, it’d be interesting to see how Fenris deals with the Arishok since he seems to have some knowledge of the Qunari.
• The Iron Bull/Vivienne: Viv puts Bull in his place the very first time they speak, and he calls her ma'am from then after. I want to see him becoming devoted to her, falling all over himself to please her, and in return she helps him to see himself as less of an object (except in the bedroom. See a few more details below.)
• Blackwall/The Iron Bull/Vivienne: Vivienne takes no shit from either of these two men and has no trouble putting them in their place. I'd love to see this be d/s, but if that's not your cup of tea, I want to see some mutual respect among the three of them and the boys pampering the heck out of Viv.
  • D/S variant: Vivienne is the one person in the Inquisition that Bull can see himself actually submitting to, and she is more than happy to use him for her own ends. Blackwall feels immense guilt over his actions as Thom Rainier and finds release in letting Vivienne dom him. And sometimes Vivienne just tells the pair of them what to do to the other, which makes all three of them happy. Established Bull/Viv + Blackwall or organic OT3 - honestly, I’ll be happy with whatever here.
